Job Summary
Job Description
Project/Program:
Taxpayer Accounting/Collections
Candidate will assist with maintenance modernization and conversion of legacy DTF applications which are part of Taxpayer Accounting (e-MPIRE TA) and Assessment Receivables/Collections (CARTS) systems. These existing applications run on the IBM mainframe platform based on COBOL/JCL/DB2 and IDMS technologies.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
Maintenance of existing systems as well as new development work related to legislative initiatives.
Participate in requirements gathering phase.
Analysis design coding and unit/integration testing.
Create and update program specification and detail design documentation.
Research and fix production issues.
Application performance tuning.
Mentor staff on programming standards.
Troubleshoot complex production issues.
Mandatory Qualification:
Software Developer -
Is involved with all facets of the software development process including the research design programming testing and implementation of computer software.
Expert -
84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of COBOL programming experience.
- 84 months of JCL experience.
- 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with databases.
- 60 months of IDMS Database experience.
- 60 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
- 60 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
