MLRO

A boutique firm forming part of a wider financial services group is urgently seeking an MLRO to join its Sliema this role you will be part of a high-performing and diverse team responsible for safeguarding the business and providing expert advice to the Managing Director.

This is an office-based role with flexible hours and offers a salary of up to 65K-68K plus benefits.

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity

• Handle customer onboarding through Due Diligence and KYC checks

• Conduct periodic KYC reviews and maintain accurate documentation

• Prepare and submit STRs to the FIAU

• Liaise with the FIAU and support annual BRA submissions

• Ensure compliance with AML regulations in collaboration with Legal & Compliance

• Assess report and follow up on suspicious activity in a timely manner

• Work closely with KYC Fraud and Risk teams

• Support internal audit processes and documentation

• Assist with AML and CFT training initiatives

Education Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Banking Compliance or a related field

• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT compliance and the Maltese regulatory framework for corporate service providers

• Knowledge of local banking structures is an asset

• Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal

• Proficient in MS Excel Word and Outlook

• Keen eye for detail; organised and diligent

• Excellent team player
