THE ROLE
Are you a detail-oriented finance enthusiast looking to launch your career in a dynamic multinational public company As a Junior Accountant you wont just be crunching numbers; youll be a cornerstone of our Finance team ensuring the integrity of the financial records that drive our global business. You will join a collaborative environment where your work directly impacts our month-end accuracy and internal compliance. This role offers a unique vantage point into the how and why of corporate finance giving you the opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams and turn data into meaningful insights that support executive decision-making.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Master the Close: Drive the integrity of our financial reporting by preparing and posting essential journal entries (accruals prepaids and cash) to ensure a seamless and timely month-end quarter-end and year-end close.
- Balance Sheet Ownership: Own the reconciliation process for key accounts proactively investigating discrepancies to ensure our general ledger remains a single source of truth for the organization.
- Process Innovation: Strengthen our financial foundation by maintaining strict compliance with internal controls while identifying and suggesting ways to automate or streamline our current accounting workflows.
- Data Storytelling: Support the Accounting Manager and FP&A partners by conducting fluctuation analysis helping to transform raw financial data into clear narratives that explain business performance.
- Audit Readiness: Act as a key contributor during internal and external audits by providing precise documentation and schedules ensuring our financial transparency remains world-class.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Foundational Accounting Knowledge: A solid grasp of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and accrual concepts with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a professional accounting or audit environment.
- Technical Curiosity: Experience working within major ERP systems (such as NetSuite or SAP) and a desire to learn how to leverage data tools like Tableau to improve reporting.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (specifically using VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) to organize data and perform accurate financial calculations.
- Operational Excellence: Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail that allow you to manage competing deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative Communication: The ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues and work effectively as part of a global diverse team.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.
