Job Title: Senior Civil Trial Attorney

About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Civil Trial Attorney to manage a semi-autonomous high-exposure caseload from inception through appeal. The ideal candidate brings 10 years of civil litigation experience including substantial first-chair trial experience and a proven history of success in California State Superior Court.
This position is hybrid. The first two weeks will be fully onsite in Fullerton CA followed by a hybrid schedule with occasional in-person meetings as needed. Candidates must be local to the area.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of civil litigation including case evaluation discovery depositions motion practice trial and appeal
-
Serve as first chair in jury and bench trials including voir dire trial strategy and courtroom advocacy
-
Draft and review pleadings motions discovery responses and other legal documents
-
Conduct legal research on applicable statutes case law and regulatory matters
-
Interview clients and witnesses; prepare summaries and maintain accurate case records
-
Coordinate with expert witnesses and oversee evidence preparation
-
Attend and represent clients in hearings mediations arbitrations depositions and trials
-
Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise clients on potential legal impacts
-
Maintain consistent client communication and provide regular case status updates
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active California Bar membership

10 years of civil litigation experience with demonstrated first-chair trial experience including:

Strong expertise in:

Trial practice jury selection (voir dire) and courtroom advocacy
-
Civil litigation areas including contracts torts government torts personal injury and public entity litigation
-
Motion practice and deposition strategy
-
State and Federal court proceedings and administrative processes
-
Excellent analytical research and problem-solving abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal teams
