Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with specialized experience in excavator maintenance and repair to join our dynamic field operations team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical hydraulic and diesel engine issues on heavy vehicles and excavators
- Perform routine servicing inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure peak machine performance
- Carry out repairs and replacements of mechanical components including drivelines transmissions and hydraulic systems
- Conduct thorough safety checks and ensure all equipment meets operational and regulatory standards
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and implement effective on-site repairs under challenging field conditions
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and parts usage
- Comply with all site safety procedures and company health and safety policies
Requirements
- Minimum 4years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Mandatory hands-on experience in excavator mechanical systems and repairs
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine operation maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and component diagnostics
- Ability to work independently manage time effectively and solve complex mechanical problems under pressure
- Valid mechanic certification or equivalent qualification
- Willingness to work in remote or challenging environments including overseas assignments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools required
