Job Summary
New Year New Career! Newton Village a Cassia community is hiring a Cook to join our culinary team! At Newton Village youll play an important role in creating enjoyable nutritious meals for residents in a welcoming team-oriented environment. This position offers guaranteed hours and no late nights making it a great opportunity for those seeking stability and worklife balance.
As a Cook at Newton Village you will prepare and serve meals following established menus recipes and food safety standards while supporting special diets and resident preferences. Youll work closely with the culinary team to maintain a clean organized kitchen and ensure meals are served on time. The ideal candidate is dependable detail-oriented and passionate about providing quality food and service to older adults.

Cook Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
- Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
- Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
- Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
- Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
- Prior commercial cooking/ food preparation experience preferred.
- Must be able to read and follow recipes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Ability to stand for length of shift.
- Prior dining/ serving experience a plus!
- Baking experience a plus!
- Selected candidates will be required to pass abackground check.
