Our client a leading manufacturer based in Chester CA is seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional whos passionate about driving a strong safety culture ensuring environmental compliance and making a meaningful impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What Youll Do

Support management and employees in maintaining compliance with OSHA CAL/OSHA EPA and DOT regulations
Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Lead or assist in incident investigations and root cause analyses
Conduct workplace inspections and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate and deliver safety and environmental training including new hire orientations
Participate as a Safety Committee leader fostering engagement and accountability
Manage EHS documentation including training records incident reports and compliance data
Support environmental compliance programs stormwater air wastewater and hazardous waste
Assist with SPCC and SWPPP development and implementation
Schedule and manage hazardous waste disposal and reporting activities

What You Bring

4 years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Associates OR Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Science Industrial Hygiene or related field (or equivalent experience)
Must have STRONG experience with environmental regulations!
Strong working knowledge of OSHA CAL/OSHA
Excellent communication organization and problem-solving skills
Willingness to obtain or maintain certifications including OSHA 30 First Aid/CPR RCRA and California Title 22
