Job Summary

Job Overview - Freelance Senior Cloud Native OPS Engineer

For our client active in the banking sector we are looking for a Senior Cloud Native Ops Engineer with over 5 years of experience.

Core Responsibilities

Architect & Build:Design and deploy cloud-native services for AI models and data pipelines using AWS and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
Infrastructure Management:Oversee AWS Landing Zones networking gateways and containerized services (Docker/Kubernetes).
MLOps Excellence:Provide frameworks for training storing and monitoring models focusing on both high-throughput batch processing and low-latency API delivery.
Automation:Streamline workflows for data processing and model lifecycles using Python Airflow and Spark.
Performance & Innovation:Optimize system capacity and costs conduct root cause analysis for complex incidents and introduce new technologies to improve existing processes.
Collaboration:Partner with international stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.

Technical Profile

Must-Have Skills:

Cloud & IaC:Strong proficiency inAWS(S3 Lambda SageMaker Kinesis) andTerraform.
Development:Expert-levelPythonand experience with the broader Data Science ecosystem.
Containers & CI/CD:Hands-on experience withDocker Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling (GitHub BitBucket Jenkins).
Data Engineering:Familiarity withApache SparkandApache Airflow.
AI/ML Interest:Exposure toGenerative AI (GenAI) Large Language Models (LLM) and API Gateways.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience withMLflow.
Knowledge ofDutch(English is the primary requirement).

Soft Skills & Qualifications

Education:Masters degree in ICT Engineering or Business Engineering (focus on Informatics) or equivalent experience.
Mindset:You are adaptive analytical and result-driven. You enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and are flexible enough to handle on-call rotations when necessary.
Communication:Fluent in English with strong technical writing skills for documentation.
