What the key tasks will look like
- Create procedures and packages to meet the ETL requirements (including testing)
- Conduct performance analysis to optimize the impact on operational systems
- Contribute in master data management projects and provide feedback on data flows
Engage in the Data Team for sharing knowledge & work in close collaboration with the architects - Mentoring Developers and coaching junior team members
- Conducting Code reviews and enforcing coding standards
- Representing the data engineering team in broader IT discussions
- Translating business goals in technical data models
Required skills and competencies
- You have a higher education degree or equivalent by experience with at leat 5 years experience as an ETL Developer
- You are able to communicate in Dutch or in French and you have a good knowledge of English
- Profound knowledge of T-SQL scripting & querying is essantial
- Profound knowledge of the MS SQL stack (DB SSIS SSRS) on 2019 and 2022 releases Standard Edition is essential
- Knowledge of Azure based ETL Solutions such as Azure Data Factory and/or Fabric
- Knowledge of Databricks
- Experience in other ETL concepts & technologies is an added value
- Knowledge of both batch ETL as well as streaming services (via Kafka and other)
- Experience in setting up integrations and migrating from legacy to new concepts is a must
- Profound knowledge of T-SQL scripting & querying
- Strong experience in Data warehousing (DataVault ...) and tools (Power BI ...)
- Knowledgeable about data modeling data access and data storage techniques
- Big data (hadoop ...) pipeline orchestration log collection & distribution tools a plus
- Experience in Agile or SCRUM practices is a plus
