Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Lethbridge AB
Responsibilities
Job Summary
The purpose of the position is to oversee the afternoon shifts production operations. The Production Supervisor is tasked with guaranteeing that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflow.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for production efficiency quality of product ensuring minimal damaged products and timely shipments of product
- Manage and supervise production lines and personnel and help resolve issues
- Actively participates and leads continuous improvement initiatives
- Explore ways to reduce the effort and resources needed to produce products without sacrificing quality
- Ensure all machinery and equipment is utilized for their intended use
- Research and propose equipment and employee utilization for cost effectiveness present proposals to management
- Inspect work areas for safety hazards and observe employees for safe work habits
- Responsible for daily compliance with all legislative requirements and Company policies
- Develop short- and long-term goals for the improvement of our products
- Responsible for manufacturing distributing and consistently maintaining safe and high-quality products by following good manufacturing practices and OHS requirements
- Ensure inventory movement is recorded on time in the Companys computer systems
- Reduce changeover time on the production line
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for our production
- Is responsible for immediately reporting any safety and quality issues to management and QA
- Supervise all production employees and laborers
- Observe employee performance performance reviews as per management and ensure disciplinary procedures are carried out according to Company policies
- Appropriately utilize Quality Assurance and monitor finished products
- Complete other duties as required by management
OE/Lean
- Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities
Qualifications

- 3 years of applied professional experience working in production in an industrial / manufacturing environment
- 1 years of direct supervisory experience.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to learn and develop quickly through personal initiative
- Organized enthusiastic and self-motivated
