Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. is interested in hiring a forklift operator in Aiken SC. The Forklift/Loader Operator is responsible for the proper care and operation of equipment such as forklifts and loaders and for maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts
- Operates company equipment safely
- Assists with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles
- Records vehicle information accurately and legibly
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor
- Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits etc.)
- Must be able to load and unload vehicles as required
- Must be able to pass training and safety requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate basic equipment
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- HS diploma or GED preferred
Required Experience
- At least two years of work experience
- One year of loader or forklift experience certification preferred
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
- Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
- May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
- Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
- Must have full range of motion consistent with age
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other job-related noises
- Visual acuity depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
- Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
