My client designs and manufactures equipment for Water industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Wigan on a permanent basis.

PreviousexperienceinasimilarDesignEngineering/MechanicalEngineeringposition#
ExperiencewithintheWaterandWate-waterindustryneeded
Degree/HNC/HND/BTEC/NVQqualifiedinMechanicalEngineeringorsimilar
Previousexperienceinasimilarroleinamanufacturingenvironment
Experienceworkingwithhydraulicsandpneumaticswouldbebeneficial
AbackgroundinWaterrelatedindustrieswouldalsobeidealSpecificallywastewater!
5yearsexperiencewithsheetmetaldesignandmanufacture
Beproficientusing3DCADsoftwaretheyuseSolidWorksandAutoCAD
Knowledgeofavarietyofmaterialsandmanufacturingprocesses
Goodtheoreticalmechanicalengineeringknowledgeofcoreprinciplesandtighttolerances
Excellentcommunicationskillsbothverbalandwritten
ProficientusingMSOffice
Excellentorganisationalskillsandtimemanagementskills
Havetheabilitytoworkwellaloneaswellaspartofasmallmulti-disciplinaryteam

TheMechanicalEngineerrolewillinvolve:

UsingCADforconceptdesignandproducingtechnicaldrawings
Designing for manufacture within the wastewater industry
Liaisingwithmanufacturingprovidersandclients
Creatingtherequireddocumentationfordesignaswellasprojectreports/plans
Updating3Dmodelsanddrawings
CreatingBOMs
Checkingdrawingsforsignoff
Workinginasmallmulti-disciplinaryteamonvariedprojects
