Job Summary

Austin Bridge & Roadhas an outstanding opportunity for aForemanat our large heavy civil project inNorth Texas area. The Foreman is responsible for providing supervision and coordination of workers on a medium size (8 to 10) dirt work crew. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs. This person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors developers vendors and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a small amount of onsite fleet equipment
- Recruit hourly trade personnel
- Execute Look Ahead schedules
- Manage craftsmen and laborers equipment and materials
- Logistics planning
- Scheduling construction daily and weekly
- Execute project work plans
- Manage crews productively and effectively
- Training of others on the crew
- Purchasing of materials tools and supplies
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Perform quality work to meet requirements
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience managing dirt crews on heavy civil construction projects
- Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
Experience in supervising crew
Experience using HCSS Heavy Job (tablet based)
OSHA 10 hr First Aid/CPR rigging flagging fall protection trench excavation and manlift
Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
Be an effective communicator
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadline
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Valid drivers license
- Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold warm and hot temperatures
- Must be able to work on call as needed
