HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT
Job Summary:
- Is responsible for identifying investigating monitoring and reporting healthcare-associated infections.
- Collaborates with teams and individuals to create and sustain infection prevention strategies and provide feedback.
Reports:
- Director/Infection Prevention (job code (JC): 023401)
Supervises:
WHAT YOULL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing public health epidemiology clinical laboratory science medical technology or another related medical field.
Preferred Education:
- Master of public health (MPH) degree.
Required Experience:
- Two (2) years of relevant infection prevention and control experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Two (2) years acute care hospital experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) credential from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) within two (2) years post-hire.
Preferred Certification/License/Registry:
- CIC credential from the CBIC at hire.
- Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations) Chapter 464 (Nursing) Part I (Nurse Practice Act).
