About the Role
As a Lead Service Advisor you serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department while also providing leadership and guidance to the advisor team. This is a highly visible customer-facing role that requires professionalism empathy strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example. You will oversee the service experience from arrival to delivery ensure consistency in processes and support the service team in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role is ideal for an experienced Service Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in both customer satisfaction and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers promptly and ensure a welcoming professional first impression across the service drive
Serve as a senior point of contact for complex customer concerns or escalated service issues
Listen actively to customer concerns and ensure vehicle issues are documented accurately and thoroughly
Clearly explain recommended services diagnostics timelines and costs in easy-to-understand terms
Review and support the accuracy of repair orders while coordinating closely with technicians and the parts department
Monitor vehicle progress and ensure proactive communication and timely updates to customers
Lead by example in presenting service recommendations with transparency integrity and trust
Assist in coaching mentoring and supporting Service Advisors to improve performance and customer satisfaction
Help maintain workflow efficiency and consistent service standards throughout the department
Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and resolve any outstanding concerns
Uphold dealership and manufacturer standards policies and procedures
Qualifications
Proven customer service experience required (automotive or service-related preferred)
Previous Service Advisor experience required; Lead or senior-level advisor experience preferred
Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage escalated or complex customer situations
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of automotive maintenance and repair
Comfortable using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and computer applications
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent required
