The EYFS Teaching Assistant will support children in Nursery and Reception helping them develop early learning skills independence and confidence. You will support both teacher-led and child-initiated activities and provide targeted support to children with additional needs.
Many pupils benefit from support with speech and language SEN EAL and emotional development making this role ideal for someone passionate about inclusive early education.
Support daily learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
Work with small groups and individual pupils to support development goals
Support children with SEN speech delay and social communication needs
Assist with phonics early writing counting and number activities
Promote positive behaviour routines and emotional regulation
Support learning through indoor and outdoor play
Help maintain a safe stimulating and organised learning environment
Observe and record childrens progress and share feedback with teachers
Support children during transitions and unstructured times
Work collaboratively with teachers EYFS leads SENCO and parents
Follow safeguarding health and safety procedures at all times
The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience in EYFS Nursery or early years settings
Understands child development and early learning principles
Has experience or interest in SEN and inclusive education
Is calm patient and emotionally responsive
Works well as part of a team
Is proactive reliable and reflective in practice
