Important information before applying

This program is aimed at international candidates especially from India South Africa and other African countries as well as applicants who are already living in Germany or Europe and may already hold a European driving licence.

It is designed for:

  • Experienced truck drivers

  • Candidates interested in vocational training in Germany (Ausbildung)


Learning German

Having a German language certificate is helpful but not required to start.
It is possible to begin from level A0.

Learning German is mandatory and the language courses are paid.

The price depends on the country of origin and the specific program.


Target groups and required German level

With educaro there are different pathways to work or train in Germany:

  • Vocational training (Ausbildung) for example in fields such as
    electrical work mechanics or other technical professions.

  • Participation in the truck driver program even without an EU passport.

  • Direct entry as an truck driver in Germany if you already have professional driving experience and a valid driving licence from your home country or a European driving licence.

This application applies exclusively to the truck driver program.

Required German level depending on profile:

  • LKW drivers: German level B1

  • Candidates for vocational training (Ausbildung): German level B2

We support and guide you in reaching the required German language level.

German courses at educaro currently cost approximately 80150 per month depending on the country of origin.
There is no guarantee that this price range will remain the same in the future.

Contact with German companies starts only after the required German level (B1 or B2) has been reached.


Work and income in Germany

  • During vocational training (Ausbildung): gross per month

  • After completing the Ausbildung or for experienced drivers: gross per month

  • Additional payments for night shifts weekends and public holidays

  • Same salary as German colleagues in line with collective agreements; no wage dumping


Participation and process

Applications are possible from any country; German courses are conducted online.

To be considered eligible for possible job placement it is mandatory to reach at least German level B1 or B2 depending on the profile.

There is no guarantee of employment. Placement depends on the demand of German companies which cover most of the process-related costs.

The educaro team contacts candidates only after the required language level has been reached and all mandatory documents are complete.


Age and motivation

Preferred age: 2035 years due to residence and immigration regulations in Germany.
The most important factor for success is genuine motivation to learn German.
