Role Overview
The Client is seeking a Senior Solution Architect (Snowflake) with the potential to grow into a Principal-level role. This position requires strong architectural leadership combined with hands-on capability to build quick proofs of concept (POCs). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake-based data platforms Medallion Architecture data security and modern analytics tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead Snowflake solution architecture aligned with enterprise data strategy
Design and implement solutions based on Medallion Architecture principles
Build and support quick POCs to evaluate architectural options and guide technical decisions
Provide architectural guidance while being able to read understand and write code when required
Collaborate with engineering analytics and business teams to define scalable data solutions
Ensure data security governance and compliance best practices are embedded in designs
Support data transformation modeling and analytics use cases
Act as a senior technical advisor with the ability to evolve into a Principal Architect role
Primary Skills (Must-Have)
Senior-level Solution Architect experience with Snowflake
Hands-on capability to build quick POCs including Python development experience
Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture
Solid knowledge of data security concepts and implementation
Experience with dbt (data transformation)
Expertise in data modeling SQL DBM and defining data structures
Experience with analytics and BI tools including MicroStrategy and Power BI
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in the retail domain
Familiarity with Alation or similar data governance tools
