We are seeking a reliable organized and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to manage internal non-product procurement for a growing organization. This role is not responsible for purchasing core products. Instead it focuses on sourcing and purchasing all operational and internal needs that support daily business operations including machinery tools equipment shop and office supplies services consumables and special requests.
The ideal candidate is highly structured detail-oriented comfortable communicating with vendors and capable of owning the entire purchasing workflow from request through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
- Manage all internal non-product purchasing needs across departments
- Research prepare and process purchase orders
- Handle recurring monthly and one-time purchases
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing availability delivery timelines and follow-ups
- Compare pricing and identify cost-effective purchasing options
Inventory & Planning Support
- Monitor internal inventory levels for supplies and equipment
- Anticipate upcoming purchasing needs to prevent shortages
- Coordinate with departments to understand demand and forecast requirements
Process Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Track orders deliveries and confirmations
- Ensure purchasing follows company policies and approval processes
- Support procurement-related projects as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience in purchasing procurement operations or a related role
- Comfortable communicating with vendors via phone and email
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Familiarity with purchasing workflows and inventory processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or purchasing systems
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools
- Independent worker with a strong sense of ownership
