Nurse Manager Postpartum

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Postpartum Unit. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations staff management patient care quality and departmental performance.

Our Postpartum Unit provides expert nursing care and education in a warm supportive environment helping families navigate recovery and strengthen their bond with their newborns. The unit also includes a dedicated Continuing Care Nursery to support infants requiring extended medical attention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage nursing staff in the Postpartum Unit ensuring safe and effective patient care.

  • Coordinate staffing scheduling and resource allocation to meet patient needs.

  • Promote a culture of excellence collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory standards and best practices.

  • Support staff development through coaching mentoring and performance evaluations.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Education & Requirements:

  • Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or compact state required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

  • Completed BSN and Masters degree or alternatively a Bachelors degree and Masters of Science in Nursing required.

  • 5 years appropriate clinical and leadership experience in a Maternal-Child setting required.

  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required.

  • Nurse Executive certification strongly preferred.

  • BLS certification required.

Annual Compensation Range $121180.80 - $193897.60

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills relevant experience and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
