TheStrategy & Analytics Manager for Cat Rental & Used divisionis responsible forfocusing on driving sustainable growth through deep understanding of our customers and dealers by defining and providing exceptional support of our strategy governanceprocessesand analytical tools.
Caterpillar Rental & Used (R&U) is a part of the Construction Industries (CI) segment. A primary role of R&U is to support and enhance Caterpillars dealer network which is a competitive strength and the critical way in which we serve our customers.
Role Definition:The Strategy & Analytics Manager is the team leader of up to 8 consultants responsible for developing global strategy global Rental & Used dealer data reporting strategic analytics creation and governance and supporting execution.

Leads solution developmentand analysesfor keystrategyengagementsas a divisional lead for a business segment.Preparescomplexad hoc analysis to understandmonitor strategy execution and delivery ofexpected business results.
Works closely withRental and Used team leadershipto define the business problem issues and planned approach for one or morestrategyengagement components as a divisional lead forthebusiness segment.
Oversees performance ofstrategyengagement data collection research and reporting activities and staff as a divisional lead or for a business segment. Coaches junior team members and clients.
Provides recommendedstrategysolutionsand meaningful insights. Works with senior consultants / managers to develop and deliverR&Upresentations as a divisional lead or for a business segment.Serves as a trusted strategic perspective toseniorleadership team.
What You Have (Core Skills)
Planning: Tactical Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term) tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication conceptstoolsand techniques; ability to effectivelytransmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application ofappropriate communicationbehaviors.
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of big picture thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness toidentifyandmaintainfocus on key success factors for the organization.
Stakeholder Management: Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematicallyidentifystakeholders analyze their needs and expectations and implement various tasks to engage with them.
Consulting Process & Tools: Knowledge of consulting process; ability to engage in planning salesconductingresearch and analysis findingsolutionsand preparing recommendations.

Strategy development and analytics experience:abilityto understand data drive insights andutilizeto act and drive solutions
Knowledge of the heavy equipment industry andoperatingwithin a dealer network
Well-versed in and passionate about customer growth and success
Experience in the Rental and/or Used Equipment industry
Experience leading a team of strategy consultants data reporting and / or developing Power BI and Dashboard Insights
Proven ability to influence without authority and develop & coach team members
Summary Pay Range:
$159120.00 - $238680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
