As an Engineer-Facilities youll deliver Facilities operation & engineering services building/office space management services and facilities equipment asset maintenance management to enable manufacturing operations. Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently) or as a manager:
Key Responsibilities.
- Operates monitors and maintains troubleshoots repairs and replaces facilities components
- Hires and oversees outside contractors such as electricians elevator repairmen grounds maintenance workers painters plumbers and roofers
- Maintains and secures facilities equipment asset
- Develops and implements capital improvement projects such as construction remodeling renovation and maintenance of buildings and facilities including preliminary concept development detailed engineering design and bidding
- Conducts periodic inspections of work in progress and advises construction supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications
- Inspects existing facilities and prepares reports on the condition deficiencies observed designs necessary for repairs and estimated cost of repairs
- Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.
The main role of this position is to provide operational co-ordination and support on Building - Services Estate and Space planning projects.
- Review existing operational concepts procedures and practices and hardware systems identify weaknesses constraints opportunities for improvement and make recommendations.
- Review existing Building maintenance and upkeep janitorial practices identify weaknesses constraints and opportunities for improvement and make recommendations.
- Drive cost reduction and control programs productivity improvement and implement across campus through respective BEM fab engineers.
- Review building maintenance specifications housekeeping operating and PM procedures for operation and building system maintenance across campus.
- Projects: responsible for preparing tender specifications tender interviews jointly with the Purchasing department selection of suitable contractors and verifying cost reimbursement claims.
- Generating the required Operational Procedures / Work instructions and training before system handover to Site operations (esp. for new Fabs)
- Co-ordinate training efforts for Janitorial staff.
- Plan and execute or support space planning projects.
- Drive performance audits for Building services and systems.
Other Responsibilities
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Manufacturing sectors
- Around 5 years relevant work experience in electronics manufacturing environment or estate management.
- Thorough understanding of facilities and related tasks
- Hands-on experience with building maintenance and management
- Good in networking with local and regional vendors
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Supervisory experience is a big plus
