About the Role:
Responsible for ensuring the execution of corporate tax related operational activities across multiple regions ensuring compliance with local tax laws and managing relationships and interactions with tax authorities and external advisors. The role supports on driving operational excellence and supporting the strategic tax objectives through effective process management governance and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Support all aspects of corporate tax compliance including corporate income tax withholding taxes freight taxes and transfer pricing returns.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation review and submission of tax returns and related filings.
Manage supporting workpapers reconciliations and calculations to back up tax positions.
Support global reporting requirements e.g. CbCR Pillar II.
Support tax audits enquiries and resolving tax controversies.
Support regional tax accounting requirements.
Operational Excellence
Support and implement standardized tax processes and controls to ensure consistency accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with finance and other teams to improve processes risk management and the internal control environment.
Maintain and enhance the use of technology solutions to streamline and optimize tax compliance and reporting.
Risk Management and Governance
Identify assess and mitigate tax risks.
Support internal and external audit processes and ensure control compliance where applicable.
Strategic Initiatives and Business Support
Monitor tax law changes evaluate business impacts and effectuate where applicable.
Provide tax advisory and technical guidance to business teams and support cross-border operational planning.
Team Development
Foster a culture of continuous improvement accountability and innovation within the team.
Role Requirements:
Professional tax and/or accounting qualification (i.e. chartered accountant/CPA).
Minimum 4 years post qualification experience.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
Basic experience using tools such as Excel data analysis software or tax systems; willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Comfortable working with large datasets and collaborating with tax finance and technology stakeholders.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
