Summary/Objectives
The Service Manager is responsible for maintaining a superior level of service for their group of designated customers by managing directing and supervising a group of technical personnel. Ultimate responsibility is the resolution of all technical problems by making decisions relative to their customers and personnel within the guidelines of company policy departmental guidelines and leadership directives.
Essential Functions

- Resolve technical problems daily.
- Manage service technicians and develop action plans for improvement.
- Develop build and maintain a service team.
- Run routine service calls in field as necessary.
- Work in conjunction with Sales to create solutions for customers that are beneficial for both the company and the customer.
- Schedule training of technicians and hold training sessions as needed.
- Proactively recruit potential new service technicians.
- Drive company owned vehicle in a courteous and respectful manner.
Supervisory Responsibility
Responsible for recruiting selecting training developing managing and motivating a team of service technicians.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods of time. Occasional moving lifting and setting up office equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time Monday-Friday 40 hrs/week
Occasional afterhours work necessary.
Travel
Minimal travel; some traveling to customers locations or for trainings/meetings.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma
- Two-year technical degree
- 5 years experience in the copier or printer industry
