Job Summary
Siena College is seeking to appoint a Flute Teacher to teach private and small group lessons. This casual position commences in Term 1 2026. The current enrolment projection is approximately 7 hours per week depending on new enrolments and applicant availability.
Working within the Siena College Music Department the Flute Teacher will be part of a team of instrumental specialists.
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate their ability to:
- teach junior and intermediate flute students through to VCE Music
- develop students musical understanding through the study of repertoire
- inspire students long-term participation in our instrumental and ensemble programs
- prepare students for solo and small group performance opportunities
- assist with basic instrument maintenance and record-keeping
- assist with various concerts and events throughout the year
VIT Teacher Registration or a Working with Children Check and National Police check are required before commencing the position.
