About the role

This is a Manager role for our Lighthouse 4 Project based in Newport City centre. The Lighthouse 4 Project delivers housing related support to people who are struggling to maintain their tenancy in the city of Newport. This is a service which supports individuals with their housing needs and issues aiming to prevent homelessness and to ensure that these individuals maintain their home and independence.

As a Leader you will support and inspire your team to deliver services that enable our customers to improve and make positive changes.

Day to day duties:

  • Oversee the running of the service
  • Be responsible for the annual budget and monitoring the services income
  • Ensure that advice is given on welfare rights permanent housing options and other associated information according to the needs and wishes of the clients.
  • Ensure that clients receive appropriate advice
  • Monitor the service and produce and amend procedures as appropriate
  • Build relationships and liaise with local neighbourhoods businesses commissioners and council

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Previous experience in a support environment
  • Good understanding of leadership and management
  • Produce concise accurate written reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with customers staff and community partners
  • Knowledge of homelessness issuesAbility to network by working in partnership with external agencies
  • Driving licence and access to a car

  • 31899.00 FTE
  • Pension Choices:
