About the opportunity
Working in the Menzies Institute for Medical Research (Menzies) at the University of Tasmania the Senior Research Fellow Biostatistics will provide expertise in the provision of statistical support services and provide outstanding and impactful scientific research of international standing.
What youll do:
- Undertake high-quality research of international standing
- Collaborate closely with researchers to design and seek funding for research projects
- Identify opportunities for innovative research contributions and publish research findings
- Supervise research higher degree students and assist early career researchers
- Develop and maintain productive and effective links inside the University nationally and internationally
What were looking for:
- A PhD in statistics or mathematics or equivalent statistical training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in providing research leadership including supervising and training research staff and students
- A strong record of publication in high-quality and peer reviewed publications
- Demonstrated grasp of fundamental statistical concepts and emerging mastery of statistical methodology relevant to biostatistics
- High-level oral interpersonal and written skills and experience in data analysis and report writing.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $184076 pro rata comprising base salary within the range of $138536 to $157330 pro rata plus 17% superannuation.
