Clinical technician 1 Inpatient Psychiatry

Inova Loudoun Hospital Cornwall Campus is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the teamin our Inpatient Psychiatry Unit. This role will be full time night shift 6PM - 6.30AM. Three 12-hours shifts per week (days vary); Candidates must be able to work any day of the week as scheduled. Candidates must be able to attend a paid 6 week training period.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Provides basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
• Demonstrates competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
• Completes assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
• Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
• Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Shift:Days (6pm-6.30am)
Schedule:Three12hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation)
Training:Candidate must be able to attend a 6-week training period including virtual training sessions off-site classroom training days (8:00am-4:30pm) and orientation shifts on-unit at the hospital.

Clinical Technician Minimum Requirements:

• Experience:Healthcare experience preferred.
• Education:High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certification:BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
• Training:Candidate must be able to attend a 6week training

• Healthcare experience preferred
