Overview

We are working exclusively with a highly regarded Chicago-based law firm that is seeking a partner-level healthcare transactional attorney to play a key role in the continued growth of its healthcare practice.

This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial growth-oriented partner to step into a platform where client demand already exists collaboration is built in and firm leadership is invested in developing the next generation of practice leadership. While the role offers meaningful influence and long-term leadership potential it is well-supported and does not require a fully developed standalone book of business.

The Opportunity

The firm has a strong diversified client base across its corporate IP and real estate practices that consistently generates healthcare-related transactional and regulatory work. These clients are ready and waiting the firm is seeking a partner who can deepen those relationships lead deals and help shape the future of its healthcare offering.

This role is ideal for a healthcare transactional attorney who enjoys building collaborating and growing someone who wants to expand their practice within a sophisticated established platform rather than operate in isolation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle sophisticated healthcare transactional matters including:

    • M&A
    • Joint ventures
    • Private equitybacked transactions
  • Serve as lead deal attorney and trusted advisor to healthcare providers operators and investors
  • Collaborate closely with corporate IP and real estate partners to support and expand healthcare work across the firm
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and long-term direction of the healthcare practice
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships both existing and new

Candidate Profile

  • Partner-level attorney with healthcare transactional experience (this role is not a fit for medical malpractice practices)
  • Proven record of building and growing a client base

    • Some guaranteed portable business is expected but a full book is not required
  • Experience independently running complex transactions
  • Working knowledge of key healthcare regulatory frameworks such as:

    • Stark Law
    • Anti-Kickback Statute
    • Corporate practice of medicine
    • Licensing and related regulatory issues
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in long-term leadership and practice growth
