Job Title: Oracle Application Server (OAS) Specialist / Administrator
Job Summary
experienced Oracle Application Server (OAS) Specialist to design deploy administer and support Oracle Application Server environments. The role involves ensuring high availability performance optimization security and seamless integration with Oracle databases and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle middleware and a solid understanding of enterprise application architecture.
Key Responsibilities
OAS Administration & Operations
- Install configure upgrade and patch Oracle Application Server (OAS) components
- Manage OAS services including OC4J Forms Reports and Web components (as applicable)
- Monitor system health performance and availability
- Perform routine maintenance backups and recovery activities
Performance & Reliability
- Tune OAS configurations for optimal performance and scalability
- Diagnose and resolve application middleware and connectivity issues
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies
Security & Compliance
- Configure security policies SSL authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Apply security patches and ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Support audits and vulnerability remediation activities
Integration & Support
- Integrate OAS with Oracle Database LDAP SOA and other enterprise systems
- Collaborate with application developers DBAs and infrastructure teams
- Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Application Server (OAS)
- Experience with Oracle Middleware stack (Forms Reports WebLogic if applicable)
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Knowledge of Oracle Database connectivity JDBC and listener configuration
- Experience with shell scripting for automation and administration
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis
Professional Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in production support and on-call environments

Preferred Qualifications
