Job Summary

Site Safety Manager
The Regional SafetyManager reports to the Senior Safety Manager. Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance. The Safety Manager will be hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily.

Essential Job Functions:
This is a list of the most prominent duties and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations laws standards policies and/or procedures.
  • Provides technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors environments and hazards.
  • Plans and conducts periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of Miller Electric Company projects.
  • Conduct hazard analyses of project operations
  • Assist in the update and maintenance of the companysafetymanual
  • Develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasks
  • Coordinates with operating activities to providesafetytraining and ensuressafetyawareness throughout Miller Electric Company.
  • Work with personnel to assuresafeplacement and job assignment
  • Assist in the maintenance of accident record keeping
  • Provide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents incidents injuries and/or illnesses.
  • Foster a team environment when advising on needed corrections
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:

Required
  • Bachelors degree in occupational health & safety or a BCSP credential (CHST or STS-C)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience overseeing similar scope of experience must include working on healthcare and data center electrical construction projects.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification within the past 3 years
  • Understanding of Workers Compensation
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • A strong supporter of collaboration in an effort to gather the best solutions
  • Ability to address and train groups of 25-30
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Ability to act independently with minimal daily direction
  • Ability to work closely with all levels of Miller Electric Company
  • High energy and self-motivated
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

Preferred
  • Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer for the Construction Industry (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
