Job Summary

A well-regarded secondary school in Slough is seeking a committed and experienced SENCo to lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school. This is a key role within a supportive leadership structure offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on inclusion student progress and whole-school practice.

The Role

As SENCo you will take responsibility for overseeing SEND provision and ensuring pupils with additional needs are identified early and supported effectively. You will work closely with senior leaders teaching staff parents and external professionals to deliver high-quality compliant and student-centred support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school

  • Overseeing identification assessment and support for pupils with SEND

  • Managing and reviewing EHCPs and statutory processes

  • Advising and supporting teachers on inclusive strategies and effective differentiation

  • Line-managing SEND support staff and contributing to their professional development

  • Coordinating interventions and monitoring impact and progress

  • Working closely with parents external agencies and local authority professionals

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and safeguarding
