Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat various forms of cancer in animals
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Perform surgical procedures as required
- Conduct follow-up evaluations and manage post-treatment care
- Educate pet owners on treatment options and care protocols
- Collaborate with other veterinary specialists for comprehensive patient management
- Participate in clinical research and stay updated on oncology advancements
- Mentor and train junior veterinary staff in oncology practices
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
- Completion of an internship in veterinary medicine
- Board certification or eligibility for certification in veterinary oncology
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
