The IB-PYP Computer Teacher will design and deliver age-appropriate inquiry-based digital learning aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme. The role focuses on computational thinking digital literacy responsible technology use and integration of ICT across Units of Inquiry in a safe engaging and child-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Learning (PYP-Aligned)
Plan and deliver inquiry-based computer lessons aligned with PYP philosophy.
Develop computational thinking through age-appropriate activities (sequencing patterns problem-solving).
Integrate technology meaningfully into Units of Inquiry in collaboration with homeroom teachers.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
2. Curriculum & Skill Development
Build foundations in digital literacy keyboarding readiness basic coding concepts and creative computing.
Introduce tools suitable for PYP learners (e.g. ScratchJr Bee-Bots basic block coding creative apps).
Promote safe responsible and ethical technology use (digital citizenship).
3. Assessment & Documentation
Use formative assessment to track student progress.
Document learning evidence (anecdotal records portfolios displays).
Provide feedback aligned with PYP assessment practices.
