Job Description
The role of Workday HCM (Human Capital Management) Configuration Analyst will support our human resource and payroll operations through configuration management process optimization and testing coordination within the Workday HCM platform. This role serves as a bridge between HR/Payroll and IT ensuring the Workday system is configured effectively to meet business needs support scalability and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workday HCM Configuration:
- Manage and maintain configuration of Workday HCM modules (e.g. Core HCM Talent Recruiting & Onboarding Compensation/Advanced Compensation Benefits (CCB) Payroll US Pennsylvania only Time Tracking Absence and Learning Management/Extended Learning).
- Support enhancements business process changes and new module implementations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and work with Workday Support or internal teams to resolve them.
- Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze current HCM processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation within Workday.
- Recommend and implement best practices to enhance efficiency accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to re-engineer workflows and streamline HCM operations.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end testing activities including test plan creation user acceptance testing (UAT) regression testing and issue tracking.
- Ensure changes and enhancements meet business requirements and maintain data integrity.
- Work closely with QA HR Payroll and IT to validate new configurations or updates.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between HR/Payroll IT and external vendors to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Document requirements changes configurations and user guides.
- Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in HR HR Management Payroll Administration Accounting Information Systems or related field.
- Experience as a Business Analyst or similar role supporting Workday HCM.
- Strong understanding of HCM processes and Workday HCM modules.
- Experience with Workday configuration report writing (Workday Reports or Prism) and security roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage testing cycles and coordinate across teams.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday certification(s) in HCM or related modules.
- Experience with change management and HR/Payroll system implementation projects.
- Familiarity with project management and testing tools.
