Job Summary
The Director of Community Engagement and Communications is a key member of the leadership team who supports River Valleys identity relationships and growth. This role leads school-wide communications cultivates community partnerships manages development initiatives and builds positive connections among faculty families and the wider Director of Community Engagement and Communications works closely with the Executive Director faculty and staff Board committees and parent volunteers to ensure that River Valleys message values and mission are consistently and effectively ResponsibilitiesCommunications & Branding* Develop and implement a new strategic communications plan.* Ensure consistent branding across all channels.* Serve as the primary media and public relations contact.* Support the Executive Director in speeches presentations and community Engagement* Strengthen family-school partnerships by building positive relationships with parents staff and community stakeholders.* Organize community events open houses and engagement activities aligned with Montessori values.* Support internal staff communications and culture-building initiatives.* Work with the Parent Alliance to coordinate volunteerism and & Advancement* Assist in planning and launching a development program including fundraising campaigns annual giving and donor stewardship.* Research and support grant opportunities in partnership with leadership.* Support committees related to development communications and community Support* Serve as a thought partner to the Executive Director offering skills in areas of communications engagement and development where needed.* Provide project management support for cross-department initiatives.* Contribute to the schools strategic plan and long-term vision.
