Job Description: Billing Clerk at Del Toro Insurance
The Billing Clerk at Del Toro Insurance is responsible for processing reviewing and maintaining accurate billing records related to insurance policies. This role supports premium invoicing payment posting account reconciliation and customer inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies and insurance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue premium invoices to policyholders and brokers
- Post and reconcile premium payments adjustments and refunds
- Maintain accurate billing records in policy administration and accounting systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer and agent inquiries
- Coordinate with underwriting and customer service teams regarding policy changes
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations billing standards and internal controls
- Assist with audits month-end close and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 13 years of billing accounting or insurance-related experience preferred
- Basic understanding of insurance policies premiums and billing cycles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or billing systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
