Job Summary

About the Role

As a Senior Medical Device Procurement Associate at SANOVIO you will play a key role in building the manufacturer-facing execution layer of our cross-border procurement infrastructure. You are the bridge between European hospital demand and Chinese original manufacturers ensuring that the right products documentation and deliveries move reliably from factory to hospital.

This is a fast-paced hands-on role for high-ownership operators with strong execution skills and an international mindset. You will own end-to-end procurement delivery for Class I and Class II medical devices from sourcing and supplier qualification to compliance documentation and order lifecycle management. You thrive in ambiguity move quickly and bring structure to complex compliance-heavy workflows while collaborating closely across cultures and time zones.

Tasks

  • Demand alignment & sourcing: work closely with the European team to understand hospital needs; identify suitable Class I/II suppliers across China (focus on Hubei & nearby regions)
  • Supplier evaluation & management: assess suppliers on compliance quality delivery capability and cost; build and maintain a reliable supplier base
  • Compliance & qualification checks: verify supplier certifications and key export documentation including CE (MDR/IVDR) ISO 13485 EC/CH/UK Rep and related regulatory requirements
  • Procurement execution & order management: support negotiations contracting production follow-up; drive issue resolution and ensure on-time delivery
  • Quality control: coordinate third-party inspections and/or factory audits; improve and document QC processes
  • Logistics & customs coordination: support export documentation and coordination to ensure smooth shipping from China to Europe
  • Cross-border collaboration: provide regular updates to the European team; proactively resolve cultural/communication gaps impacting execution
  • Process improvement: work closely with the founding team to optimise procurement operations and scalability (templates supplier scorecards documentation flows)

Requirements

  • Experience: 35 years in medical device procurement/ sales supply chain cross-border trade or procurement project management
  • Product familiarity: experience with Class I & II medical products (consumables rehab devices etc.)
  • Regulatory know-how: understanding of export processes; hands-on experience with EU MDR/IVDR
  • Languages: professional English (Main working language) and professional Chinese; German is a plus
  • Flexibility: comfortable working across a 67 hour time difference including occasional evening calls
  • Mindset: Proactive ownership-driven reliable and self-disciplined with a strong execution mindset. You thrive in ambiguity turn unclear situations into clear action plans and are comfortable going beyond a classic 95 when the work demands it
