Job Summary

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for an experienced second in command to work Temporary Full Time at a Government of Canada Public Safety site.

Rotation: Monday - Friday 1430 - 2230 (End Date: April 19 2026)

Payrate: $28.50/hour

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Support with allclerical and administrative requirements for theSite
  • Liaiseregularly with the client and/or other applicable staff to ensure site operations remain current
  • Assist/support site supervisor with site shift scheduling
  • Ensure that all applicable reports operational reports and time sheets are submitted in a timely fashion
  • Ensure that the Site Risk Assessments and Site Safety Check Lists are current and amendments forwarded to Commissionaires BC accordingly
  • Ensure that the Site Post Orders are current at all times and that all site Commissionaires have read the Post Orders and any related amendments
  • Ensure that the standard of dress and deportment is professional at all times
  • Oversee the training of new commissionaires
  • Documentand/orrefer all discipline and counseling matters to the Operations manager
  • Provide accident reporting and investigation results toCommissionaires BC
  • Liaisebetween site commissionaires and head Office
  • Providethe appropriatesupport and leadershipto site commissionaires
  • Covering for site supervisor in times of absence
  • Liaise with the Security Company for emergency problemsregardingthe Security System
  • Maintain the security system fault log for all non-emergency problems and ensurestechnician address the problems

Your must haves:

  • At least 3 years previous supervisory experience
  • At least 3 years security experience
  • Valid BC SecurityLicenseand OFA 1
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Physically fitincluding the abilityto stand or walk for extended periods
  • Fluent English written verbal and reading skills. Fluent French would also be an asset
