LifeGuard - Minimum eligibility for a Lifeguard is 15 years old as of May 15th. All lifeguards MUST have Red Cross LGT certification and must pass a level 2 fingerprint screening (varies by location) as well as a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
Ensure the safety of all the guests in the facility by continuously monitoring the pool and surrounding deck to prevent accidents by observing patron activities and eliminating hazardous situations.
Enforce pool rules and regulations in a firm but fair manner to ensure the safety and order of the aquatic facility.
Conduct periodic patrols of the locker room area eating area and around the park ensure everyone is ok.
Clean restrooms locker rooms eating area and pool deck chairs and other cleaning duties as needed.
Maintain the lifeguard equipment by keeping it neat organized and in working condition for daily operations.
Inspect pool facilities and equipment to ensure they are safe and usable for patrons.
Respond quickly to emergencies by performing rescues administering first aid CPR and using an AED as needed
Participate in ongoing in-service training drills and maintain physical fitness to ensure skills are sharp and up to date.
Possess good teamwork skills and initiative to work both independently and with a team.
*Holidays are mandatory as this position is seasonal. These holidays include Memorial Day Independence Day and Labor Day.
