Work Arrangement:

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion MI on a full-time basis.

Selectedcandidateswill have the opportunity to learn new skillswhileinfluencingthe development of manufacturing processes to support the relaunch candidates willbeonsitefull time.

The Role

Orion Assemblyis currentlyseekinga motivated andaccomplishedGeneral AssemblyProcess Techwhowill provide process engineering supportto the GATech Support/Maintenance department.

While working intheGeneral Assembly Tech Support Process Engineeringteamyou willbe responsible forthe operation maintenanceand repair of plant equipment. Work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedures and the ability to innovate and define new procedures in afast-paceddynamic work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits ofGMS;focusing on Safety People Quality Responsiveness Cost and Environment (SPQRCE).This role may at timesinvolve training others.

WhatYoullDo:

  • Responsible for the manufacturing processes and equipment for General Assembly
  • Develop and implement sufficiency plans and continuous improvement activities to meet specific uptime tool cost quality and maintainability objectives
  • Responsible for all documentation of the process including Process Control PlansTooland Equipment BulletinsPFMEAs and other equipment documentation including standardized work(TISs and more)
  • Work with and support Maintenance activities resolving equipment issues resulting in downtime of the equipment tooling and gages
  • Work with Manufacturing and Quality department in problem solving customer issues and developing short term corrective actions as well as long term irreversible solutions
  • Manage process-related projects including installation of new or replacement equipment continuous improvement initiatives and periodic repair and refurbishment
  • Implement projects including estimating project budget management and forecasting development of timelines and equipment qualification
  • Investigate equipment problemsandprovide technical input for problem resolution
  • Occasionally lead maintenanceskilledtradesteam and supervise skilled trades to cover maintenance supervisor absence
  • Occasionally work weekends
  • Maintainproficiencyintheirfield
  • Support TIP(throughput improvement process) GMS(global manufacturing systems)and BIQ4(built in quality)initiatives.
  • Utilize statistical methods for continuous improvement of plant process systems
  • Enforce safe work practices as the highest priority and implementobjectivesfor improved ergonomicsHealth/safety and housekeeping
  • High levelof interpersonal skills with sensitivity to others points of viewmake contributions to the resolution of complex manufacturing problems and interface with support functions outside the plant asrequired
  • Maintain compliance with all Process Control PlansTooland Equipment bulletins relevant to allGeneral AssemblyEquipment and Processes;MaintainallrequiredMaximo tasking and data collectionrelevant to these items
  • Maintain Error Proofing List and ensure all newor modified error proofing has passed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) requirements
  • Track any Maintenance related DRR losses and drive solution with breakpoints and countermeasures

Your Skills and Abilities (RequiredQualifications):

  • Working knowledge of all safety absolutes and policies ( ESWP etc.)
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and ability in process engineeringdisciplines
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts involving machine designs and process requirements involved in the manufacturing process
  • Demonstrated excellent level of analytical ability communicationand interpersonal skillsrequiredto build relationships and lead team members and suppliers to solve problems and resolve issues
  • Proven ability in project management skills and ability to teach others
  • Strongproficiencyin basic Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint) Power BI and Access experience preferred

  • Strongproficiencyin basic Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint) Power BI and Access experience preferred
