Job Summary

Machine Operator- Secondary/Grinding

1st shift (7a-3p)

2nd shift (3p-11p)

3rd shift (11pm-7am)

Starting wage: $14.00/hr. (plus $.55 / shift differential for off shifts).

Operates a wide variety of secondary equipment with some guidance from others. Responsibilities generally limited to loading/unloading work pieces and some quality assurance processes of checking production pieces for compliance using simple gages. Generally requires a years experience in previous factory/manufacturing work to reach this level mechanical aptitude and interest also apply.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Load Parts:

-ranging from 1/2 lb. to 9.8#.

- Check machine for safety and review start of operation.
- Review set up of part checks before operation starts.
- Ability to sit or stand.

Operational Procedures:

- Push part through the machine for production.

- Deburr the part and remove any imperfections associated with the part.
- Review for quality control.
- Stack each part <9.8# on to skid inboxes for tech to move.

General Clean Up:

- Clean any oils or sharp small pieces on the machine.
- Wipe down the machine daily.

- Sweep up any loose jagged pieces disposing of pieces for next day operation.
