The Opportunity
Were looking for a strong technical leader to oversee the development support and evolution of Medavies core applications. The Manager Application Development & Operations leads a team of technology professionals responsible for delivering supporting and evolving Medavies core applications. This role blends people leadership product ownership and handson engagement with complex systems. Youll guide the development and operation of enterpriselevel applications ensure stability and performance and collaborate closely with business partners to align technology solutions with organizational goals. Success in this role requires strong technical acumen experience managing diverse development teams and the ability to drive both daytoday operations and longterm product strategy.
What Youll Do
Lead mentor and develop a team of analysts developers architects and team leads.
Build a collaborative highperformance team culture.
Oversee application development support and operational activities.
Serve as product owner for assigned applications and maintain a prioritized roadmap.
Work with business partners to understand needs identify gaps and shape product direction.
Ensure adherence to software development processes and best practices.
Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
Support longterm planning business cases and improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
Education: University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience & Skills
10 years in IT including leadership of technical teams.
Experience working in complex multisystem environments.
Strong people and business leadership communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of software engineering processes and methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Strong attention to detail and sound decisionmaking abilities.
Customerfocused mindset with a drive for innovation.
Language: English proficiency; Bilingual is an asset.
Security Clearance Requirement:In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B). This includes Fingerprinting Criminal Record Check Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
