CNC Milling Operator cum Mastercam Programmer
Location: Singapore
Job Summary
The CNC Milling Operator cum Mastercam Programmer will be responsible for end-to-end CNC machining operations including CNC program development using Mastercam machine setup operation and quality inspection. The role requires strong technical expertise in CNC milling the ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately and a commitment to maintaining high precision and quality standards in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop modify and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam based on engineering drawings and specifications
Set up operate and monitor CNC milling machines to produce precision components
Operate CNC milling turning and wire-cut machines as per production requirements
Select appropriate cutting tools fixtures and machining parameters to achieve optimal results
Perform first-piece in-process and final inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers micrometers height gauges and dial indicators
Interpret technical drawings GD&T symbols and machining tolerances accurately
Ensure components meet dimensional accuracy surface finish and quality standards
Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or setup adjustments
Maintain CNC machines through basic preventive maintenance and cleanliness
Adhere to workplace safety standards quality procedures and production schedules
Coordinate with production quality and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow
Essential Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining / Tool & Die or a related field
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in CNC milling programming using Mastercam
Proven experience in CNC milling operations; exposure to turning and wire-cut machines is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Mastercam programming (2D/3D)
Excellent knowledge of CNC milling machine setup and operation
Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
Experience in workpiece inspection and quality control
Solid understanding of cutting tools materials feeds and speeds
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and precision
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
