Job Description
Job Summary:
Supports the Space Mission Program Manager in planning directing and executing all program activities for the MOSSI II program. Acts as second-in-command ensuring operational continuity and effective delegation of duties. Leads initiatives in business development and customer relationship management to drive program growth and sustainment. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals with a high degree of creativity and latitude expected.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
May manage activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of cost methods and staffing. This job provides general supervision to a functional area which may include supervision of lower-level supervisors and direct supervision of other exempt and non-exempt personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include providing leadership to employees interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving some instances this manager may be responsible for managing staff function and may not have subordinate managers.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four - year college or university in a related field and 10-15-years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in business development and customer relationship management within the aerospace or defense industry is required. Knowledge of Space Operation or Moon to Mars Programs is desired.
