The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Custodian-Junior to support Advanced Aircraft Research Development Test & Evaluation. The hourly range of this position is $21.00/hour and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a Custodian-Junior may include:

• Performs custodial duties including but not limited to sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting and disinfecting surfaces
• Empties trash receptacles and replaces liners
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms including toilets sinks and mirrors
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and notifies supervisor when replenishment is needed
• Performs floor care tasks such as buffing waxing and polishing
• Assists with setting up rooms for meetings or events
• Follows established safety procedures and guidelines
• Reports any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel

Must-haves:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• The ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• The ability to obtain and maintain SAP and/or SCI access as required
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance-Interim Secret Clearance required to start-AMEWAS willing to obtain and process full clearance

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience in custodial or porter role
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in the field (performing custodial and cleaning duties) on site versus in an office. The physical environment may require the employee to work in an office at times looking at a computer for part of the day.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site.

The employee is required to stand walk and/or move throughout the workday often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs. Operation of machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects such as forklifts and dollies may be required.
