Position Summary:
The Industrial Engineer will manage both small and large scale warehouse projects while acting as a subject matter expert within the organization. The primary task will be to lead the development improvement and refinement of all phases of Pyles network in order to deliver cost-effective solutions.
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Partnering with operations and the customer base to successfully onboard and maintain new business
- Designing warehouse layouts and storage solutions
- Creating and mathematically modeling business cases within an organization
- Utilizing knowledge and understanding of the quality process and be able to apply tools or technology in business cases
- Researching and evaluating new technologies methods and equipment that enhance service and/or reduce cost
- Reviewing developing and analyzing corporate processes
- Developing and utilizing optimization and simulation modeling to analyze A Duie Pyles network
- Designing and developing processes which improve service and/or reduce cost(s)
- Evaluating the purchase and/or relocation of equipment
- Performing ad-hoc projects and analytics as required by operations leadership
To be qualified for this position you must possess the following:
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Supply Chain and warehouse operations
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Logistics
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other tools to manage projects and execute analysis
- Ability to travel as needed (throughout the Northeast)
- Must be detail oriented and enjoy a fast paced multi-tasking customer service minded environment
- Must have excellent interpersonal verbal and written communications and organizational skills
- Must display a sense of urgency ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
