Job Description:

Administers supervises and directs the administration of occupational therapy evaluations therapeutic activity construction of orthotics and instruction in their use upon referral from a physician and in conjunction with the physician establishes supervises and directs the appropriate treatment program of patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
Must maintain current active licensure from Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers.
Maintains the Standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association regarding treatment procedure and professional ethics.
American Heart Association CPR required and must be maintained throughout employment in position. At time of hire only will accept American Red Cross CPR Certification.
Passes annual safety test.
Achieves competencies for assigned work area as dictated by director (i.e. age specific suctioning aseptic technique).

Communication and other skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills to allow for functioning as a team member assure adequate documentation for payors and to ensure continuity of care.

Physical Requirements:

1) Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;
2) Ability to hear (with or without aides);
3) Ability to orally communicate;
4) Good manual dexterity;
5) Ability to push pull roll and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally;
6) Ability to stand walk frequently;
7) Ability to bend reach stoop kneel frequently;
8) Ability to perform CPR (if a required for position).
