About the Opportunity

OurLitigation Group has a deep roster of talented commercial litigators practicing in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies nationwide. We are seeking an entry level paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or individual who wishes to learn paralegal skills through working with experienced litigation attorneys. It is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience for developing paralegal skills in a very active team environment. This position will report to the assigned attorneys and Human Resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist attorneys with preparation of pleadings.
  • Preparing for and attending depositions hearings and trials.
  • Proofreading cite checking and editing legal documents.
  • Project management and organization of litigation cases.
  • Fact research.
  • Document collection and production.
  • Coordination of outside litigation vendors.
  • Assembling/filing/distributing briefs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with attorneys clients all levels of staff and management at the firm.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints and high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Prior legal experience is beneficial but not required.

SALARY

The base salary for this position is $50000 - $52000.

Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. The actual salary offered will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience education and training.
