GI/Endoscopy Technician prepares and maintains endoscopy rooms and equipment and assist endoscopy and anesthetic teams during endoscopy. Endoscopy Technician requires to work in collaboration with Doctors and Nurses and other healthcare providers and deliver the healthcare services as suggested by them.
As post holder you are responsible for the tasks such as but not limited to the following:
- Prepare and maintain endoscopy room.
- Maintain equipment support in an acute care environment
- Delivering planned care to all assigned patients with minimum supervision
- Carrying out unit procedures independently as per protocols
- Ensuring documentation as per standards
- Identify and move to maintain a sterile field
- Follow infection control policies and procedures
- Manage and maintain endoscopy equipment
- Prepare patient for endoscopy procedures
- Provide intra-endoscopy equipment and technical support
- Assist anesthetist in handling emergencies outside of OT Room
- Ensure availability of medical and diagnostic supplies and manage hazardous waste
- Work effectively with others
- Manage work to meet requirements monitor and assure quality of Endoscopy Room
- Maintain a safe healthy and secure working Environment
- Report any critical incident to Endoscopes In-charge
- Follow proper attire and good attitude at work
- Avoid any verbal communication that can harm our working environment
- Performance assessment will be using 360-degree feedback
- Follow KPIs which will be reviewed 3 monthly and feedback provided
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and biomedical waste disposal protocols
Qualifications :
Preferably FSC with diploma in Endoscopy Technician
Experience: 2 3 years of relevant experience
Other Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate clinical skills
- Good communication skills & result oriented
- Excellent Time Management & Behavioral skills
- Willingness to work in shift duties
